We called Pure Maintenance as we found out their focused treatment does not require any demolition. The same day we called, Seth, the Owner came and set up air scrubbers while we were waiting for the exterior of the house to be sealed up by our Contractor. As soon as the outside was sealed up Seth and Charles treated our office. The aim of the inspection is to form a picture of why a mold problem exists and, crucially, what can be done about it.
The type of test you need may differ depending on your circumstances and desired outcomes. Call us for clarification — we'll help you pick what fits.
We take an air sample which is analyzed for either alive (viable) or dead (non-viable), mold spores. The spore count per m3 and species of mold are recorded.
We capture mold spores in a mold trap. Captured spores are then cultured on a Petri dish. Any living (viable) spores reproduce, and the species are identified and recorded.
We collect samples directly from visible mold or suspected contaminated areas, using sterile swabs. These are then analyzed in a lab to identify the specific mold species and their concentration.
Data-driven testing
Testing determines whether mold is present, how severe it is (spore count per m³), which mold strains are present, and how those readings compare against contextual baselines.
Results combine into a single report that gives you fact-based insight into the air quality in the home, the cleanliness of its airspaces, and whether any mold remediation is required.
Texas licenses mold assessment and mold remediation separately. Your report is yours to act on, and you are free to take it to any licensed remediation contractor you choose.
